General Rules

Our site is invite only but that does not mean that you may forgo the proboards rule of having to be 13 years of age or older to join. So if you are not 13 or older please do not register.
Always show respect to everyone. Respect everyone for their beliefs and opinions. No fighting out of character, you will be given 3 warnings and then you will be banned from the site for 24 hours, and if you have been banned 3 times you will be permanently banned. We will not tolerate bullying or fighting its just plain dumb.
Understand that others have real lives outside of Haven. Do not forcefully push members to reply to threads and be patient. After all roleplaying should always come second to your real life.
-Be Creative
We do not accept any form of art or character theft on this site. If you are using a character or artwork made by someone else which we recognize, we will ask you if it they are your own creations, and if it is not, we ask if you have gained permission to use the artwork or character. If you are not good at making characters yourself you can always take a look at our Adoptables Board, and if you are not good at making a picture of your character it would be safe to use stock photography or request art in Art Shops various members made.
-Your Content
If you ever decide to leave Haven, please let us know. We will archive your threads or you can ask us to delete them for you. Normally accounts are not deleted but if wished that can be done too. If we use any ideas you may have suggested for the site, we will remove that too if wanted. Remember that you are the owner of your own content.
Character Rules
-Playable Species and Behavior
We are a very unique forum as in we allow creatures from myths, like dragons and werewolves, ect. We allow humans and also animals of any kind. Please they don't need to stick strictly to how they act in the wild, but please keep a little bit of realism in them... Its only right.
Even though Haven is a fantasy roleplay site, some things must be realistic too. Keep the general behavior of your character as realistic as possible to the real life species, except for that they can communicate through speech and display human emotions. Though animals can not communicate with humans unless they have the Wild Magic ability from the shop.
-Biographies and Accounts
Our site goes by the account per character system, which means that for every character you will create there is a separate account. This is to keep everything neat and accurate. If wanted, you may also have a main account under your own name for OOC posts.
Roleplaying Rules
-Writing
Roleplay posts should be written in third person (he, she, his, etc) and in past tense. These posts also need to contain at least 100 words, though we are not very strict on that and as long as you write 100 words on average it is fine. If you are a beginner at roleplaying it is okay to have fewer words in your first posts too and try to slowly build up your word count. Having troubles with roleplaying or writing long posts? Liquid time, which means letting characters be in multiple threads at once, is allowed. Liquid time is where your character can be in more than one place at a time at multiple different times.
-Interaction
Friendship or maybe even love relationships between a canine and feline can happen, but only at the areas which are not infected by the Virus.
-Mates and Offspring
Finding a mate my take place anytime of year. However mating for animals may occur in early fall to mid-winter. Humans and the Other's will be allowed to breed at any given time of year.
We do not allow any graphic mating or birthing scenes on this site. Fading to black is okay, but do not describe the whole birthing or mating scene itself and everything before and after the fade to black moment may not be graphic either. We are very strict on this rule. Any kind of actual graphic mating scenes will be deleted and you will be given a warning. If you continue to repeat the behavior you risk getting banned.
The young are 3 weeks real time after the mating thread, so you must roleplay for those three weeks as a pregnant character. The gender, possible diseases and amount of cubs will be chosen by Staff by rolling a dice, but the appearance may be decided by the parents. After the couple mated, one of the parents may fill in the form within the Adoption Agency in the Adoption board and the Staff will decide the outcome. Once your character has given birth to the cubs, they will have to be put up for adoption in the Adopt a Cub board in a separate thread so someone else can roleplay as one of them. However, the owners of the parent characters may roleplay as at least two of the cubs as well, or choose someone to roleplay as them. In the Adoptables board the cubs may remain as long as you'd like, but once someone adopts a cub they have to be the same age as the other cubs you have.
-Fighting
Fighting scenes are allowed, the fighting scenes may not be too graphic or overly gory. You have a maximum of three dodges per fight. Be reasonable; if your character's attack is dodged, it is open to an attack, and shouldn't be able to dodge. Killing someone's character is only allowed with permission from the owner, but please be careful on describing this so it won't be too graphic. If it does, the scene will be deleted out of your post and you will receive a warning.

No Godmodding (making your character invincible to everything), Powerplaying (controlling other characters without permission) and Metagaming (using knowledge your character could not possibly have).
